caught romance of the three kingdom.
not my usu type of movie yet i enjoyed myself. been so long since i watched those fighting war scenes. rmb the times when i was young, i was kindof influenced by 2 bros, getting intrigued by the fighting scenes and martial arts drama serials. as light hearted korean shows are becoming more rampant, gradually i was drawn to those shows. yet romance of the 3 kingdoms no doubt left me marvelling over the history and past of china. wars are grusome.
the show left me with a tightening feeling in the stomach. watching how cao ying (cao cao's granddaughter) killed her foster father in the bid to unite the 3 kingdoms. it gives a heart wrenching feeling. watching how all the heros sacrifice themselves all the way till the end despite knowing that death awaits them. watching how zhilong rose with bravery and guts yet he couldn't escape being jus another chess piece in war. no doubts, this movie shows just why this book could be the 'shi da ming shu' even through just showing one character. personally i didn't read the book perhaps it was the reason why i enjoyed the movie. no doubts i believe the book had been excellently written and wld be worth a read. i shall rmb and add to my list of books for read.
but i realize, as we move with the trends of watching koreans light hearted shows, once in a while, take a look at the magnificant chinese culture and much wonders could be drawn from them. haha i m not promoting chinese culture! just that, i can't helped getting impressed by the large scale of the movie and of the different form of magnificence of chinese history...
