wellz i have some intellectual frenz who ponder out loud in their blogs. in them, i learn to think about simple issues in life. my blog seems pale in comparison. knowing that i don't belong to the intellectual category and neither can i write as wellz, i can only content myself thru reading their blogs. nonetheless, i do enjoy reading them. :)

was out with SSS for dinner yesterday. somehow, these girls are special, cos they left me with the warm, fuzzy feelings of good old frenz. i jus couldn't resist the urge to spell out almost all the numerous outings we had tgt. we didn't do much, jus sat, ate and talk. but i think that was enough for all of us. time flies, graduated from vj for 1.5 yrs alr. each of us has gone on to pursuit our desires, our life goals, but we share an impt part of our life tgt with one another. these girls are frenz whom i know i have come to rely on, to share my life with and to seek for companionship at times. missing the old times, yet i have learnt that moving on in our lifes is better. because life is full of experiences and memories. we can't dwell on the past and lose the future that beholds us. over the yrs, all of us have grown and mature but we are still the same old us.

i don't belong to the out-spoken category, neither do i belong to the friendly category. but one thing i know bout myself is how much i value kinships and friendships. speaking about staying in hall nxt sem yesterday brings to mind some stuff. it wld be different. glad to have almost all my close hall-mates staying in the old rooms, however i don't deny that i would miss those other frenz who are not given a chance to stay. my tutorial classmates, my jc frenz. gonna miss the dinners, late night running and chatting sessions with them. they are all part of the memories i had back in uni yr 1. yr 2 life would be starting in another 1 mth. can't say that i m prepared, but i m looking forward to it. wasn't i told that uni life is one of the best part of our lifes? *smilez* uni life brought to light many new experiences which i do enjoy.

listening to new age music while blogging. calming. relaxing. and sure keep your thoughts clear :)

wellz, not exactly a fan of new age music but sure i don't mind listening to it. :) in my opinion, its a little similar to sendimental instrumental music. perhaps its most suitable when one wants to relax. really appreciate those who introduced me to these music!

went for a swim yesterday. haha no doubts swimming has always been one of my fav sports. maybe cos i enjoy moving in the water and being able to exercise without perspiring much. shall make it a point to spend at least 1 hr every weekend to exercise. wellz, nxt sun is the milk run alr! glad to have my tk running buddy running with me again!! :)

out this afternoon shopping with gh. at least both went home with sth. thanks for accompanying me to go shopping. this brings to mind...where are all my shopping buddies?? lolz i sure don't mind going shopping with u all again!! :)

looking forward to nxt week lots! meeting up with SSS and my tutorial frenz! gosh missing all of them lots! guess we have lots to talk bout when we meet up again!! :) n maybe hall dinner too...if my mum doesn't nag...lolz :)

recently there's so much more inspirations to type stuff on blog. maybe cos bored at work, den go surfing ard ppl's blogs.

have a fren who went to tour europe n jus returned. visited his travel blog n it left me envious. lots of photos, lots of experiences, lots of stories to tell. his final entry for his tour was his reflections. somehow it struck me. the focus of his trip was to europe, yet the country that left him with the deepest impression was Philippines. his insights n experiences really left me pondering.

another fren backpacked nepal for a mth. jus returned too. still yet to see the photos but i m sure it will be another eye-opening experience. 1 mth is seriously a long time to be backpacking.

somehow these ppl leave me thinking. how i do wish to escape somewhere too, into the nature or jus to induge myself into the life and culture of other countries out there. perhaps getting away once in a while, away from the hectic life we see ard us everyday is wat i m yearning to do. however, we have to face reality that all these can't be done without money. much as i want a getaway. seen so many ppl travelling n returning that it seems like i m the onli one left in the office working. nope not complaining, jus envious and really glad to have those experiences shared...:) jus that eventually, i too, hope to be a part of those who share the travelling experiences with ppl. n of course have ppl to travel with me too! :)

surfed a couple of the odacers' blogs, updating myself about their life. feeling all nostagic bout the odac times i had back in vj. missing all the outdoor stuff that i wanna do. sometimes things turn out so ironic.

besides all these, i wld really wanna involve myself more in community service. everytime, comm service comes to mind, metta camp has probably impacted my life most significantly. maybe because the kids are really special and hanging ard them made me appreciate life more. if given a chance i wanna immerse myself into helping those who really need it, to bring smiles to their simple lifes. they let me learn what is serving the community and the joy of helping. so many wishes...lets fill our life to the fullest and live life well. lolz i m in such a motivated mood to improve upon my current life...haha...

-a penny of my thoughts-

this holiz been meeting some ppl more frequently than expected. eh...for once i wanna say, don't be too nice to me ba, cos it makes me rather uncomfy and unnerved, esp when 2 ppl are very nice at the same time. maybe i shldn't be too nice to ppl, might create unnecessary misunderstandings.

tried to express my view. hope it went the way i wanted n not to mislead further. it wld be even better if its jus my imagination...learning to say no n taking a step back. really really don't want any misunderstandings.

-end of thoughts-

bought running shoes from queensway on sun.(thanks yy for the details u provided regarding shoes) watched ocean thirteen on mon. good show, jus that i took one night to understand it, with my bro to interpret for me. nonetheless, thank you to the 2 guys, one for coming all the way down to queensway to buy shoes n the other for the treat on mon.

been having quite a bit of late nights recently. wellz, guess working onli leaves the night free ba...

tue: went vivo with sirong to watch shrek3. haha we practically rushed down there to get the tickets cos both of us really wanna watch it. super funny la...laughed so much that at the end of it was rather tired alr...

wed: found a fren who works near me, so arranged a dinner. waited for yuan kang's work to end till 8pm. chatted n jus catch up a bit...

thur: out with the fellow niners to settlers' cafe at clarke quay. haha played lots of interesting games-story telling, little pigs, etc etc. laughed so much yesterday night again...had lots of fun! been rather long since i met all of them! haha after all the laughters, rather tired...

encountered a couple of simple gestures by a couple of ppl lately. gh downloaded shrek3 cos i wanted to watch-didn't expect that. andrew pop by workplace on tue-totally forgot bout it, so rather pleasant surprise. yk volunteered to come down queensway cos i onli think of buying shoes from there. having jf to wait a while till my work ends yesterday. simple gestures but somehow i feel too pampered.lolz

envious of those who went sentosa. couldn't go, so could onli admire the photos taken :) looking at them do made me realize that i do miss all of u! all the fun we had tgt...:) my weekend was spent on 2 adventure races. one as a participant, another as a volunteer.

sat: an experience. cycling, walking, rockclimbing. explored bukit timah n MacRitchi. have phobia of cycling on trails, so i guess i held the gp back a lot. cos that was the reason i pulled out initially. a twist of events brought me back to participating. i was her last resort. the details in btw is overwhelmingly frustrating. sorrie gh n fren for the twist, i m really sorrie. fun wasn't a word to descibe. it wasn't tiring either cos we didn't run at all. it wasn't exactly a race to us, jus a walkaton. but the biking part was rather stressful n tiring for me. really really couldn't cycle well. coincidence that the third person in the group is meng hui. was really shocked to see him.

sun: got jio by geok some time earlier to help out in the ATC. dragged pari with me. thanks gal, u r really a great fren to have agreed so readily n keeping me company throughout. appreciate it :) really truly admire those who participated. the whole race was tough definatedly! applause to those who finished :)

didn't look back on my weekend cos at least i have done my best at everything. helping out 2 good frenz justified whatever unhappiness i felt. like what minrui said, emotions go on a sine curve. everytime, one has a bad day, eventually the nxt day wld be a great day. fri was a probably one of the lowest pt on the sine curve. at least, i see the curve going up again :)

Perhaps I m trying too hard. I wonder if these attempts are worth it, or perhaps its jus my stupidity.

Wondering whether I made a stupid choice, but it doesn’t matter cos I have alr chosen. Sometimes, I really hate last-minute plans, last minute changes. Feeling terrible, feeling upset. Felt like talking, but suddenly I donno who to look for.

So much frustration, so much changes, so much disappointment. In the end, I have chosen not to go for sth I know I will enjoy, instead going for sth that I m afraid, unprepared, worried. Yes, it’s my personal loss. Nonetheless, I couldn’t reject the request from an 8-yr-long friend. Her frustration, her tiredness, her hopes were all reflected thru her voice. Rationally, I should not have acceded to her request but I acted irrationally. I have decided to stop looking forward to going to sentosa. 3 opportunities lost this holiz. Perhaps due to my bad day, some harmless words sting a lot.

In the end, I have chosen the easiest way out to vent my feelings. Its lucky to be a girl at times, at least, I have no reason to control my tears. perhaps i m thinking too much, perhaps i m just being emotional, perhaps its just another bad day. moving on...

yesterday was a great day right from the start.

had 3 really sweets ppl buying breakfast for me-mum, sirong, boss- guess it was a great start to the day

rushed thru my lunch(sorrie sirong) cos was going for this ice-cream survey thing. wellz, its free ice-cream to eat with $20...who wouldn't want it? survey was simple and took me 40mins to complete(oops so i had a super long lunch break), so the money was relatively easily earned. have to thank andrew for introducing us to this lobang!-hope u get the call soon too...:)

after which, went to slack a bit cos jenny popped by to my workplace to say hello after her ice-cream survey. thanks gal, cos it sure did brighten up my daily routine of work! :) sorrie for not spending longer time with u though...cos of work etc.

had dinner with gh after work at this vietnam place at bugis. tasted good, but guess i wasn't very hungry otherwise it wld surely been better. have to admit that its my first time eating vietnam food...realized that i m usually eating the same few food. haha maybe i shld do more exploring about good food and good places to eat too! :)

watched 'infamous' at cathay at cineleisure after dinner. its exclusive to cathay only, maybe that explains the lack of publication on it. personally, i think its one of those slow and intellectual movie. sth different from those that i usually watched. but overall, i think its a good show with a couple of jokes occassionally. though i have to admit that there are times when i m totally lost and don't understand...lolz too cheam alr.

my day ended well too. when i stepped into the house, my bro handed over 'Deception point'. guess u probably didn't realized that i was a little touched by the simple gesture. lolz there's a rather long story behind it, shall not elaborate...

n i do need a pair of affordable running shoes. went to queensway with parry on tue. wellz, she bought a pair of asics shoes that i do like too. n its highly recommended by the salesperson. it is definately a good buy :) guess i have to continue sourcing ard...hopefully can find some time to pop by to the new balance warehouse sales these few days...

1) nv felt so happy to have someone to eat lunch with me before. smiled so sweetly when i realized they didn't abandon me that day. :) cos i was starving while waiting, half-thinking that they probably went out for lunch. saw them finally n my eyes literally lit up. had a lonely start to friday nonetheless, the day ended okayz...

2) felt so apologetic. sorry for causing worry everytime i cycle. sorry for not making the rental worth. sorry for causing the 2 of u to be so tired at the end of it. sorry for pulling out of the adv race so last min. but thank you for the concerns-red bull included. :) thank you for riding the bike without brakes instead. thank you for all the reassurances.

thought it was supposed to be an uneventful week. had to end it off was a fall while cycling. haha guess this can be added to my records of falling everytime i cycle. the bike is definately in a worse condition than me-both its brakes broke...lolz...while i only sustained minor injury. after which went parkway to eat and shop ard. haha rather surprised that we spent 1 afternoon shopping there! and i miss VJ too! went there to walk ard, miss all the corners of the sch. lots of memories there! swing, odac room, col pond, pianos, track etc etc...

n now i realize that i treasure times just sitting, eating and chatting cos that's the best way to catch up with each other. :)
