paintball 2008 :)

a simple event, yet it wasn't as easy as it looked. lolz sure learnt quite a bit from it. things didn't start off very well exactly, esp for the waiting time of 1hr. horrors...and apologies about that.

first hipcup: couldn't board the first shuttle bus
second: a few couldn't board the second bus, took cab
third: lunch was delayed and it didn't taste, not exactly worth $3. only rice in one packet
fourth: no forks and spoons. overlooked this one big error.

game was really short too. hope the participants enjoyed themselves. though it wasn't exactly a well executed event, jus a few words of thanks :)
1) all committee who helped during the carrying out of the event and throughout the whole process
2) non-committee members who helped in one way or another
3) yy! for all the planning etc...
4) the last 2 groups which definately leaves me with lasting memories of paintballs and allowing me to have fun amidst the coordination
5) all participants. with special thanks to those who told me 'xin ku le'. i thank them for understanding the situation and giving a word of appreciation. maybe that speaks a thousand words for all that is required at the end.
6) last but not the least, thank you to you. for assisting in every way requested as well as the candid feedbacks :)

it was indeed a great learning experience and glad of the opportunity for it *smilez* most importantly, i hope everyone enjoyed the time, the opportunity of playing. i did. an experience and i don't mind playing again after some honing of shooting skills:)

travelled all over singapore in the past few days. west, east, north. lolz and my house is in central. snow city was a one-time experience. had fun! :) cookies and cupcakes were really nice. yummy yummy! *touched* special thanks! wat's in store? projects...lots of them, and they are taking up every day of my holiz. photo updates another day :)

a mini get tgt with sss.

shopped quite a bit as we contemplate which to buy, walking up and down the lanes of marina square umpteen times. yea the final choice was good! hope u like it :) simple dinner, simple dessert yet lots of laughters. still rmb cheelz clicking photos every so often, like a tourist, which amused us by quite a bit. recalling, pari and myself trying the passion drink in starbucks trying to figure out why the drink is tasteless and beginning to regret the choice of drink. alas den val told us we shld add syrup. lolz we felt really quite 'countrypumpkin' lolz...looking forward to our nxt gathering, exactly one mth later to celebrate more birthdays. hopefully we can, otherwise after exams, we'll miss another member...

unfortunately, i couldn't attend david's mini farewell...we'll miss u on level 4!

maybe was a little offended. for the first time in 20 yrs, someone called me that. and in front of others. i realize, i wouldn't blow my top cos its senseless to, i'll jus keep quiet. when that happens, i rather be left alone to cool.

a sudden surge of posts recently. maybe cos last week was a busy 7 days. the week ended with a birthday party for my cousin plus a movie. been a long time since i last attended a party. left all my work undone...lolz it's piling up quite a bit.

this is another busy week.

pin a little teeny weeny hope of getting. didn't. as what my mum would say 'all that matters is as long as you are happy'. not an ambitious person but a simple person with simple dreams. we all live for only once and i know simple pleasures are what makes me smilez. everything else, i'll do my best :)

recap of last week :)

paintball! yeah super happy with the turnout during registration. *beams* we manage to get more than 25 ppl to sign up! horray...gone were the initial worries that no one wants to join due to the high cost. i love sdu!! for their grants which allows us to lower our ticket price from $25 to $15. yea very cheap for paintball wih 100 balls. all the planning, discussions are left at the final stage-the final grand day and a few miscellanous stuff.

brownies baking :) helped a little with the brownie baking for canvassing. the sale was a success! haah jus that baking was not an easy feat.

megafest (hall 9 birthday). though food was missing, blk 47 was the big winner! :) *ahem* someone walked away with 4 lucky draw prizes. super lucky lo. so were the guys on level 4 of blk 47. all walked away with sth :) for the gers, we have things too! teh peng and tiggy plus a few door hangers (thank you micho). welcome to the big 47 family! been really long since i took part in hall activities...

finally, cookies baking. thought elaine n myself promised not to bake cookies again after the tramatizing baking experience last year. somehow we still did. lolz. at least this yr's cookies turned out really nice. haha can ask blk 47 ppl verify after eating n comparing with last yr's. felt unwell half-way during baking, must be having phobia of the strong cookie smell so elaine n jen baked most of them. how fast time flies, one yr since the night we had steamboat tgt. the cookies were baked for all of you and my tutorial friends, to reminize upon the past yr of friendships jus that this yr was a limited edition :) overall it was a really busy week and no books were touched. been so long since i had so many activities planned in a week.

family visiting. woah 3 days of seeing the same group of ppl, yet all my relatives are just so happy to spend a day at each other houses. so are the kids. their fav game 'hunter n the bear' entertained them for a whole 3 days. amazed at those 2 big kor kor entertaining them wo...eh really 2 big kids entertaining the smaller ones...at least they can take shifts...while i jus content myself with sitting back n looking. eye power :) haha interesting to see creative games being played as aunties try to let the really young kids join in.

bro skyped home. woah seen your popularity? everyone was vying to be in the webcam and taking a turn to chat with you on the phone. an excellent time to call where all gathered, partly amused, partly reunion. simple steamboat, yet it was a cosy nice gathering for all.

river ang baos. this time i saw the fireworks, not covered by esplanade. storytelling, movie screening, outdoor theatres are part of the experiences.

'for you, i'll run a thousand miles' the kite-runner. a movie that inspired me to read the book. a story with a good plot, a story that leaves one feeling warm. at least i enjoyed it tremendously. plus a little good food to sum up the day.

a simple cny. yet feeling contented. it isn't the no of ang baos or the no of visiting. it is the quality of time spent. family is what leaves one with a warm cosy fuzzy feeling. just a few days back, i realize that i ain't an authority person. too much responsibility doesn't seem to sit well with me. maybe just one is enough for me :) nxt time, i'll learn. happy cny!

a post of random whinings.

preparation for a presentation on a late cny eve afternoon. haha alrightz 1:20am, and now sitting here trying hard not to fall asleep and trying to get infor into the head though its really hard. afterall doing on a qns i didn't prepare for isn't easy. seems like a long night ahead...

postponed of a 20% quiz till after cny. though some cheered for the delayed, some of us really wanted to jus get it over n done with. it created unnecessary stress for the weekend plus a dread of the wat's in store after cny. haiz really thought i could enjoy cny with some load off the mind...nonetheless i think cny is a necessary break for all...despite the projects in store for us

prepared IT tutorials. waa...seriously a tough one, cos of all the diagrams plus every qns must be done cos it must be dropped into the digital dropbox. yea the teacher is really good to make us do those qns, just that they are seriously time consuming

okayz jus random complains...guess the rest of the sem isn't going to be easy either...so no point whining..donno y got so mean with a guy in the gp. at least i didn't give a super piss look. haiz. jus letting off some steam...alrightz. 13 more hrs!! jia you...:)

zi HIGHing.

zi high from last fri to thurs. just a super jolly week. ehz maybe cos the start of the week impt? haha or maybe cos i jus happy to be going home. lol but by fri, the zi highing effect sort of wears off a bit, maybe out of tiredness plus probably IT...concluded: very hard to be so high n happy for long. it's tiring too...so nxt few days, have to tone down a bit...

rather busy week. must survive to cny eve first. then can relax and slack ard a bit...:) rrr...suddenly the thought of buying a chewy animal for myself. those meant for kids with growing teeth. so whenever i wanna bite, i just go chew on it.
