With the completion of the recent London trip, we have concurred the 3
destinations on our wall (Paris, New York and London). Out of the 3
major cities, I enjoyed London the most. I am impressed with how well
mannered the locals are, always speaking in perfect English and
maintaining a pose that distinguish themselves among the crowd.
Chinese
and foreigners were not discriminated and they are equally polite,
always ready to embrace a smile, apologise or say thanks. They contrast
against Singaporeans drastically with their demeanor. It is indeed a
nice city and a place that on hindsight, if i had the opportunity to
turn time back, would have strived hard to get an opportunity to study
there for a degree.
Along the trip, although it seems
that not much was accomplished, it was the pleasurable trip, giving an
immerse sense of familiarity with so many Singaporeans abroad. This
probably draws a nice conclusion to our travel log (at least for now).
Once
again, thank you dear for accompanying me on this journey of discovery.
It is now time to strive hard for the things that matter in life, and
to contribute to the society that has groomed us to who we are today. At
the end of the day, home is where the heart always lies. I am glad to
be a Singaporean and proud to call this home. Definitely hope that as we progress, we would draw more positive similarity to the Brits whom we are modeled against.
