HAPPY HAPPY 'NIU' NIAN!

yea supposed to have a long break, but couldn't really relaxed cos was worried bout presentation and advanced theory. nonetheless it was a nice break from the norms. cny was as usual. reunion dinner was delicious, seldom do we have such a spread. yummy yummy crab prawns duck fish. though i donno how to appreciate the fish which was supposed to be quite good but i just don't like to see the head staring at me. as usual bro called home and my parents was super excited and happy.

mm shall skipped the norms on the first day and moved on to the more unique events. like...ehmz seeing my mum skipped using a skipping rope. lol i think i am quite a evil daughter, teased my mum when my cousins visited, requesting her to demo hoola hoop and skipping rope. though she simply refused to tried hoola hoop, she did try skipping. haha was definately much better than my cousins! lol was quite comical too, as she skips ultra fast, like a train la. my 3 cousins don't know how to skip! was quite surprised by them, cos skipping rope was my childhood game which was learnt naturally. haiz don't tell me there's generation gap le, that's unbelievable.

second more interesting event, went bai nian at a farm. i saw a beautiful and peaceful life there. haha yea it was special. lol adding on, i saw bangladesh betting with money up to $50 at one go! omg even i don't dare to bet using such an amt. stunned me totally. in comparison, i bet using 10c, 20c up to $1.

2 days flew and it's time to busy myself with presentation in preparation for tmr. *cross fingers* hope all will go well despite our hectic schedule and few meetings. overall i think spending time tgt with extented family is always nice, with all relaxed and where the many generations come tgt to interact. though i missed the only steamboat dinner with my extented family this year, i guess sometimes we have to give and take, can't have everything.

306 is hard! bleah first gp to present, which happens to be immediately after cny..boo! nonetheless i guess finishing it early has it's advantages too.

the last few posts have been rather incoherently and random, guess i have been blogging at times when i m super tired. but..i think this post isn't much of an improvement either. maybe cos there is no particular inspirations to spark off topics for me to think or i forgot them pretty quickly before noting them down. this sem is going to be super busy, driving twice per wk hopefully, tuition on 2 nights, and all these on top of the maddness readings for 304 each seminar. seriously, i think it's an impossible task. haha. electives are pretty hard too, but can't complain since i insist on a 3-day week. just jia you ba!

a few days back, i really contemplated what kind of career i really wanna do nxt time. at some point in time, i doubted my ability to be a good auditor because i think i take extra time to understand accounting concepts than others. besides, somehow the way i think is always different, be it due to conceptual understanding or plain misinterpretation. wellz, this was coupled with a conversation with a friend. then i realized kpmg offered them much more. this wld in fact put them on better position as the top management knows them personally. from their higher pay to their recognition, i understand the different bases even before work starts. there is nth that can be done at the moment, i guess just enter the workforce before settling on the next step.

driving so far has been ehmz...i donno. lol my steering is terrible! got scolded a few times..eh no a lot of times i think. it's expensive driving around and around just practising and experimenting, if only there are cheaper ways instead of paying for instructors. lol. haha n i think i have the wrong mentality, cos i find driving at a speed of 20km/hr very slow, den i'll attempt to drive up to 35km/hr and turn at 20km/hr within the circuit which isn't big. lolz. got chided a few more times by instructor to slow down at bend. wahahaha turned the steering wheel too much and couldn't turn back in time in a 90 degree turn. almost went straight for kerb. alrightz, i'll turn uber slowly tmr. must make sure the skills are good first den speed la.

a few things cropped up too, shall not be mentioned here. oh oh shall end off with today! very interesting and meaningful experience! i never like to be the center of attration, prefering to hold the camera than being taken. but today was an exception, posed quite a bit but...i m still shy, this is a 1 off experience. i m so blur! was looking forward to the photo shoot quite a bit, researched for poses and positioning but reached there and alas i didn't bring my foundation which means the rest of the makeup can't be used either...couldn't find my contacts though i brought it :( was a bit flustered and disappointed, nonetheless i enjoyed myself quite a bit *beams* i guess it was the experience that counts. maybe not wearing contacts and without make up is the more real me, than one with thick makeup. i guess it's more natural. at least the photographer is zhai, so the pictures came out really pretty too, though model may not be up to standard. *smilez* i enjoyed myself :)

first week of sch!
*beams* now feeling both relieved n happy! wee!! got my 2 ideal electives n core! took both electives without planning with anyone. yea but was lucky! cos i recognized a fren for each! yea so i've company for my electives, though both friends are really quite old friends whom i didn't exactly keep in contact with but they are both very nice ppl. *smilez*

was super lucky today thanks to jenny, getting me to log into stars and at 10am i saw a slot!! i saw a slot of the elective i want yea n successfully added it, now no more worries bout not getting an elective n not graduating by end of sem. lol. thanks to an old JC classmate i met during that elective, he assisted me in sending an email to prof to request as well as form a grp! yea some more have a vacancy for me! so no need worry bout no grp for my elective already! *smilez* haha small small things like this really starts my day well!

recalling the week was a mad exchanges for txtbks. luckily mine was easy and quick, no need to worry much bout txtbks. but it was sure a chore carrying them home. i realize how busy this semester is going to be, partly from the modules partly from outside committments including tuition n driving. seems like i'll have lots of travelling n waiting but alrightz these are part of my resolution for the new year! it has been some time since i occupied myself with so much activities at one go, but GANBATTE! cos i need the cash while driving is my dream when i was young. *smilez*

welcoming 2009.

the past few days have been hectic, rushing from one place to another, spending a few hrs at a place before voom voom it's time to rush off to another. *smilez* nonetheless i guess catching up with some old friends are always worth the efforts cos they are the ones to put smiles onto my face. i guess i've to say to big thank you to all too, for the organizing and accomodating, most imptly for putting the efforts to come tgt and meet up.

i bid goodbye to 2008 at my fav haunt-mt faber, at a pretty little spot that not many ppl know and caught fireworks not just from the tallest christmas tree in singapore but also off the top cable cars. that exact spot was excellent cos i could see the sequential shooting off fireworks one after another off the cars. i looked upon the fireworks, grining silly at them. *smilez* alrights i love fireworks, esp those big big ones. somehow fireworks works wonders to me, it makes be feel peaceful, blessed and a sense of future. that explains why it's used for welcome a new yr, isn't it?

had steamboat dinner which is going to stop my steamboat craving for quite some time. though i didn't eat a lot, but it was sufficient. haha why does this always happen. i'll start craving for sth and indulge in it so much that makes my stomach cringed at just the thought of it. bbq, steamboat, cheese pancakes are examples of food that suffered the same fate. recalling the nxt day, i cringed upon seeing food and all i wanna eat is porriage or plain rice, no ingredients. lol.

shifting my attention to 2009. it was only a 1 day difference yet that morning, i woke up feeling like a new yr's ahead feeling fresh and excited. on the first day of 2009, i picked up needles and threads, must have been the recent nonya or the recent peranakan museum trip or the temptation of my dear friend sr that led me to purchase 1. alright on 1 jan 09, i discovered sth. lol. it'll the one and only piece (hopefully it'll be done). i guess it's not my cup of tea. i may be meticulous and patient, but i really prefer to be out in the weather running, jumping, hiking, treking, climbing or rushing from places to places. haha alright it still has a long long way.

spent this week really fruitfully and quite proud of myself. *smilez* though not enough sleep for a few days, though i travelled excessively from west to central to east. somehow i think this post is very messy cos sequence of events are all over the place. think lack of sleep and rest, i can't blog coherently at the moment plus it's just messy. at least it had been a good end to 2008 and a good start to 2009! yea looking forward to the weeks and mths ahead! *smilez* happy new year!
