officially 21.

to the ger who called at 2359 on 15/11/08, thank you for nv forgetting to call to wish me happy birthday for the past 9 yrs. thank you for being the last one to end my day *smilez*. it's the first time anyone attempts to be the last person instead of being the first in wishing me happy birthday. 9 yrs and counting to a ever-lasting friendship. haha frankly, i learnt a lot from u cos u have one of the those with character and nv expect anything in return for friendship. haah u r one of those i learnt what true friendship is cos it doesn't mean meeting or chatting frequently but always to be there whenever a fren is needed. i'll always be around to chat too *smilez* have to apologize for not calling u earlier this yr on your birthday!! but thank goodness u msg me, otherwise...i'll be guilty for a long long time. thanks ger and catch up in dec!

365 x 21 = 7665 days. this is the exact no of days i've spent on earth so far, yet how many of these days do i actu remember? haha i hope at least i still rmb at least 200 days out of these 7000+ days.

right smack in the middle of exams like how it had always been. 2 down, 3 more to go of which 2 are pending on tue. much surprised how i still managed to spend some time out. matured a lot, and always live by the motto of 'simplicity and sincerity' keeps me going and happy. though i wouldn't say i attain it all the time, at least i try. *smilez* frankly, 21st is a time for us all to celebrate moving into a new stage of life.

birthdays so far has been most memorable in the few yrs in uni. for the first few times, i celebrated in the midst of exams. for yr 1: a simple get together of orientation frenz in the room with a simple cheese cake. yr 2: surprise celebrations with a level 4, 47ers. yr 3: probably the simplest. a single slice of cake with a single person at marina barrage. yet each of these, i would rmb for life, the friendships forged, the gatherings and all the little love in the air from friends from loved ones. of course, all the post birthday celebrations, i'll nv forget cos all put in some love and thoughts into it. thank you. admittedly, i haven't been doing a very good job fostering friendships over the last 2 yrs in particular, focusing my attention largely on building a strong foundation in a relationship. thank you for not forgetting me over the yrs and i promise to continue treasuring the friendships i have made thus far.

today celebration was simple. the gift was simple. yet in it, i found the greatest joy, not from the amt of money spent but from the love within. i read all the well wishes and i thank all the 21 of you who was part of it. (minus 1 who didn't get hers compiled) from my hall ppl to my JC fren to my squadmate to my pri sch fren - haha though i still have yet to figure out how she got to write! but it was a really pleasant surprise! XL! - have to give you to most credit for creativity-haha i had the most interesting time reading yours *smilez* thank you. jus a note of thank you to all who wished me, and walked with me through the paths of life. lastly, donno why, still wanna say thank you to bro for wishing me happy birthday. i realize these 2 words meant as much as everything else yupz cos nth beats having my bros who guided me in life.

haha pardon me for this final paragraph which i wld once again mention the special someone who has walked with me through all my ups and downs for the past 1yr plus. whom i depended upon, who guided me, who taught me and care about me. for everything u've done, i can't say how appreciative i m of you, i can't say enough thank you to you. thank you for being my disciplinary master, my companion, my listening ear and someone i care for.

a simple yet meaningful day i had. a meaningful yr i hope. a day where i truly reflect the meaning of birthday. happy 21st to myself:)

toast to marina barrage upon which i stepped into a future of hope. toast to the success of marina barrage where i witnessed a culture of lifestyle. i love the place and i love it to bits.
